Along the A8 motorway, either towards Bilbao or San Sebastián; Take the exit to Amorebieta Gernika. Leave the motorway and take the BI-635 road to Gernika without going through the Amorebieta town centre It is also possible to get to Amorebieta along the N-634 (without using the motorway). Once you are at Gernika, cross the town towards Bermeo. Leave the town and take a straight road to the locality of Forua As soon as you reach this locality, the road begins to go up, after some 200 meters turn left at the sign to Baserri Maitea. From here, go on upwards following the signs along the road.
